Our 6th grade partners over at Ramsey Middle School are back with another set of reports about people and places in our city’s history.  This time, click to learn more about Kid Cann, the criminal boss who is reported to have dismantled Minneapolis’ trolley system.  Stick around to learn more about the founder of the Minneapolis Spokesman Recorder, Cecil Newman.  The Spokesman Recorder is Minnesota’s first black-owned business, and the newspaper has been a consistent progressive voice in the Twin Cities for over 80 years.
