 Kingdom Praise

Sundays at 9 am

Hosted by MikQuinlyn Speller

What is “Kingdom Praise” (KP) all about – “Kingdom people handling Kingdom business, Kingdom building with “Kingdom Praise!” Kingdom Praise is a Sunday radio show spinning dynamic Christian hip hop music that blends rhythmic music and faith-based lyrics; we also give you the word of God and news about Christian hip hop, Gospel Rap, and the Rhythm and Praise community.
#Christian hip hop music emerged from urban communities in the 1980s. It existed almost exclusively in small underground scenes, with minimal formal industry promotion and little mainstream attention. Instead, it emphasizes positive and uplifting messages to promote faith and belief. Over the past 10 to 15 years, artists of different styles and messages have risen and stamped their influence on Christian Hip-Hop.
Goal: Kingdom Praise brings youth ministries across the Twin Cities together while reaching Millennials, Generation Y, Generation Next, and Generation @ on their level. I am considered a Generation X’er, and I know that traditional gospel music appeals to me; my roots are firmly planted. However, a part of me still likes to hear God’s message being delivered by Rap, Hip Hop, and R&P. The music industry, especially the hip hop and rap industry, has such a strong influence on culture and our youth today. Therefore, we must offer them a way to identify musically in Christ; this radio show will provide that connection and also get information to the youth about where Christian youth events, services, and ministries are in the Twin Cities.
