The BE.Side

The BE.Side is your Friday night jam session hosted by DJ Michel.Be, a Chicago native raised in South Minneapolis. Traveling through the origins of Chicago House music, DJ Michel.Be digs through the crates of Funk, Soul, and Disco records of the 70’s and 80’s, along with House music of today. From the Black Queer perspective, Michel.Be will periodically speak to the cultural significance of Soul, R&B, Funk, and House music as a form of resistance, joy, healing, and revolution. They will also host occasional conversations with local artists and revolutionaries interwoven in the music.
